Title: Accentuate the Negative: Making the Most of Negative Space in Modern Quilts  Author: Price, Trisch  Released: 2014-02-02  Publisher: Kansas City Star Quilts - KansasCity, OH  ISBN: 9780960488483  Format: Paperback  Category: Crafts, Hobbies & Home  Last Updated: 2018-06-17  Rating: -1  Pages: 112  Description: Join Trisch as she explores six aspects of negative space design: gradation, reversal, interruption, negative form, ghosting and piecing. Each category features three original quilt designs. Editorial Reviews Review These 18 quilts are examples of 'Modern Quilting' with areas of negative space, ie. plain fabric 'around and between prominent designs.' The first quilts have joined strips in graduated colours. Later quilts feature free cut appliqué. They are complex designs with detailed cutting instructions and charts. The text is written in small grey print. The photos show the negative spaces filled with dense quilting but there are only references to the quilting patterns on three quilts.
